Hi, I'm Taya Simmonds. I created Love For All Lives after years of learning about animal suffering and the use of animals in laboratories. The more I learned, the harder it became to simply sit with that knowledge. I knew I needed to do something positive to help create change.
While researching the incredible organisations already working to reduce and replace animal research, I became inspired by the scientists, campaigners and advocates helping to develop alternatives and raise awareness. But I also saw an opportunity to focus on something close to my heart: education and prevention.
We want to make alternatives to animal testing something people know about before they enter a laboratory. And we don't want this conversation to be limited to scientists. Local communities have an important role to play too, people deserve to understand what animal experimentation is, why it happens, what alternatives are being developed and how they can use their voices to campaign for change. Through education, accessible information and community engagement, LFAL CIC aims to give people the knowledge and confidence to take action themselves.
To help the world understand that scientific progress and compassion for animals can go hand in hand, thanks to the innovative alternatives to animal testing being developed today.

All because of a Rabbit named Lexi!
Love for All Lives CIC is inspired by my childhood best friend, a Himalayan Rex Rabbit called Lexi. When I learnt the truth about what happens to animals in laboratories, all I could think about was those procedures happening to her. It made me restless, after countless of hours of research and tears I decided I needed to do something. Thus, the idea of Love For All Lives CIC: Educating the future of science so no more animals have to suffer.
About Me.
My practice combines creative arts, storytelling, education and a strong interest in animals and the natural world. I trained at London Screen Academy, completing a UAL Extended Diploma in Film & TV Production, and have since gained hands-on experience working across film and television productions in costume and production roles.
Alongside my creative work, I have experience working with and teaching children, including five years with Riding for the Disabled and teaching experience in India. I have also volunteered with the Kenya Wildlife Service and the Kenya Society for the Protection & Care of Animals, which have further developed my interest in animal welfare, conservation and compassion.
I bring these different areas of experience together through Love for All Lives CIC, developing creative, hands-on workshops that encourage children to explore empathy, kindness and their relationship with animals and nature. My workshops use accessible activities such as drawing and painting, crafts and clay, storytelling and theatre, mindfulness, and science and biology. The sessions are designed to be playful, inclusive and adaptable to different ages and abilities, while encouraging creativity, teamwork, curiosity and confidence.
The workshops are particularly informed by my belief that creative activities can be a powerful way of helping children understand complex ideas in an engaging and age-appropriate way. I aim to create a safe and welcoming environment where children can express themselves, ask questions and develop compassion through making, playing and learning together.
